Do you enjoy solving real-world problems with emerging technologies? Are you driven to help customers solve their problems and take advantage of new opportunities? If you share our passion for the opportunity to take on big scale, building cutting edge technologies, developing applications that are easy to use and reliable, and forging the path on how serverless is done in the cloud, then we may just have a role for you.

We're looking for a software development manager to guide the development and operation of Amazon Location. Amazon Location is a new geospatial service launched at re:Invent 2020. It's an opportunity for you to personally change the way customers approach software in the cloud. You'll bring a tremendous amount of customer obsession and bias for action to bear as you solve customer problems. You'll seek ways to solve customer problems with designs that are on a fully native AWS and serverless platform. You'll obsess over the availability and performance of your service and proactively mitigate any threats. You will create an environment where engineers' creativity can thrive and their careers can .

As on our team you will be part of a oncall rotation. We have a team of Sr. SDEs and managers who will support you in your onboarding to operating a service at AWS.

Amazon has a fast-paced environment where we Work Hard, Have Fun, and Make History. Even though it is fast paced we support and regularly discuss our work life balance to ensure we are healthy and engaged for the long haul. You'll be surrounded by people who are smart, passionate about serving customers, excited to come to work, and who you will be able to learn new ideas and best practices from.

We value inclusion and diversity as a core part of our identity. We discuss how we can be positively engaged, and help move the ball forward, within our team, organization, and within our community as a regular part of our team meetings. Come bring your ideas on how we can bring more to the table on this important topic.
