An exciting opportunity awaits you as Manager of Aboriginal Health Strategic Services. As a key member of the team, you are responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to the Aboriginal Health Program and ensure coordinated implementation of diverse strategies including cultural safety, public health and health literacy, and primary care.

In this position your primary responsibilities include:
    •Define, lead and oversee the organization's Cultural Safety Framework in collaboration with the Indigenous Cultural Safety Consultant, within the guiding principles of Cultural Safety and Humility Objectives. •Lead and manage the interface between First Nations Health Authority (FHNA), Metis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) and Fraser Health (FH). •Works with Joint Working Groups with FNHA and MNBC to develop robust responses to the needs of the Aboriginal population within the FH region. •Actively monitors Aboriginal health and cultural safety trends to support effective strategizing and operational planning. •Leads the hiring and development of a diverse team; provides effective mentoring, skill and leadership development, performance management and team building to ensure team members have the knowledge, skills, abilities, and tools to support strategic transformation initiatives within FH.

Education and experience required:
    •Masters degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration or related field •Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience working in a large complex health care environment •Five (5) years' leading and managing strategic initiative changes within the health industry

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
