This family run company has been a competitor in the Vancouver marketplace for over 40 years. The facility has had steady growth throughout the years and now has over 80 employees working in the facility. The new management take a collaborative, open door policy approach to the business and investment is being poured into it.
The maintenance supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of millwrights, electricians, maintenance shift foremen and the maintenance planner. You will report to the Maintenance Manager. Duties include but are not limited to:
Manage and Supervise the maintenance staff, taking coaching as the first mentality
Interview, hire and training of new maintenance personnel
Implement and harbour a safety first working environment – participate in ongoing auditing for work-safe maintenance activities
Assess maintenance team performance and conduct performance reviews
Lead the SFQ (Safety Quality Food) and be responsible for training all staff on this
Perform Power Engineering activities if short technicians
Liaise between other departments to ensure plant is running on optimal and production goals are met
5 years of experience in maintenance function – Red Seal/Journeyman Electrician or Millwright preferred (will consider equivalent work experience with technical diploma)
2 years of supervisor experience
Relevant experience working in a food manufacturing environment
Minimum 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate preferred
English and Chinese Language skills
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Annual Salary $70,000 - $75,000
2 weeks of vacation to start
MSP Paid by 50%
$1,400 health spending for year
6 months’ performance and salary review
Benefits start from day 1
