With this multi-location company, there is plenty of room to continue on your track to upper management. The people running the maintenance department now started on the tools and worked up within 5-10 years. Some have taken on plants of their own.
An international company with operations both sides of the border, this group occupies a manufacturing niche that keep them busy even when other industries are experiencing ups and downs. They also have a very strong community focus, and are an active presence in the cities they operate in.
You’ll be overseeing a crew of millwrights, electricians, and contractors. Top priority will be making sure everyone is working safely. Second is that the machinery is running optimally. You’ll work with the maintenance manager and planner to ensure that the mill has as little downtime as possible, through optimization, team leadership and building a culture of ownership and accountability for the plant.
Red Seal Millwright or Electrician, or an Engineering Degree
3-5 years as a Maintenance Supervisor
3-5 years working in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting
Wood and forest products is a strong asset
Demonstrated ability to lead safety culture
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The role is salaried, between $85,000 and 95,000 depending on experience. It also includes benefits, temporary housing, covered costs for a move, and vacation!
