Hasting Racecourse is seeking a qualified individual interested in furthering their career as Maintenance Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of maintenance operations. In addition, you will be assisting with the planning and directing of maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures. Assisting with the implementation all new maintenance operations initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities for our Maintenance Manager include:

 Providing input for employee performance objectives and evaluations

 Scheduling, supervising and monitoring employees

 Assigning shift work assignments

 Assisting with the implementation of maintenance operations strategic plans

 Inspecting and maintaining property, heating, water and electric operations

 Participating in complex maintenance and equipment installation projects

 Providing efficiency reports and makes recommendations for improvements

 Assisting in developing capital improvement budget requests

 Approving maintenance supplies and equipment requisitions

 Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments

 Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)

 Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations

 Performing other duties as assigned or directed.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:

 High School Diploma;post secondary education in Engineering and experience in a large conmplex organization is an asset

 Computer literacy in MS Office

 Valid Driver's License

 Serving It Right Certification or the ability to achieve a Serving It Right Certification

 The ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (if required)

 Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication

 A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests

 A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development

 A passion for providing Great Experiences and Memories to our internal and external guests in the continual quest of achieving service excellence

 Minimum 6 months experience with GCC (internal candidates). Candidates must be ready and willing to all shifts including graveyards, weekends and holidays. The hours of work will be based on customer and business needs.
