Lot Attendant – MCL Motor Cars

MCL Motor Cars is currently looking to fill a position of a Lot Attendant.


SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to keep all vehicles clean and ready for delivery or display, and to clean vehicles from other departments when necessary. The primary function of this position is to keep a display that is neat, orderly and clean to maximize the delivery of a quality product at a quality level.

Your contribution:

  • To be aware of the importance of exceeding our customers’ expectation on delivery condition of vehicle.
  • Start all vehicles, check for dead batteries and recharge any that are dead.
  • Keep inventory arranged in neat and orderly fashion and clean at all times.
  • Keep work area free of debris and trash from vehicles.
  • Put all supplies in order at end of day.
  • Keep delivery area free of other vehicles and debris.
  • Keep work station neat, tide, organized.
  • Keep show room floor vehicles spotless
  • During winter months keep doorways shoveled, sanded and cleared. Also clear snow and ice from cars in lot.
  • Perform tasks as directed by Service Manager (i.e., washing customers’ cars, emptying trash containers or any other task) that will assist in the smooth flow of the company.
  • This position will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Possess a valid British Columbia Driver’s License, ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission, and present a current copy of your driver’s abstract (ICBC driver’s record) for review.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other employees
  • Ability to operate assigned equipment
  • Attention to detail and high quality control standards
  • Ability to work effectively against deadlines
