Our company is in the international trading industry specialising in recycled products, containers and transportation between Canada and Asia. *Job Description*

- Organise and manage shipping schedules

- Coordinate and engage in verifying and keeping records of shipments, and preparing items for shipment

- Oversee shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments

- Determine space requirements and position of shipment in boxcars and trucks

- Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with the shipping specifications

- Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair

- Direct the movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage sites

- Compiles records of unfilled orders

- Posts weight and shipping charges

- Assist in shipping and receiving activities

- A certain level of flexibility regarding availability outside of the normal working hours is required

- Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this role

*Qualifications and Requirements*

In order for the ideal candidate to perform successfully, the following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required.

-          Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics or Transportation

-          Have minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience working in the logistics and/or transportation industry

-          Must be fluent in English. Ability to communicate in French and/or Chinese is an asset

-          Good communication and organisational skills

-          Motivated and has good problem-solving skills to overcome objections

-          Dynamic, self-starter and can work well under pressure

-          Must either be a Canadian citizen or have Permanent Resident status

-          G Drivers license and own vehicle is required
