Logistics Customer Service Representative

Express Employment Professionals of Delta is currently looking for a Logistics Customer Service Representative for our client in Delta, BC.

Position Summary:
This permanent full-time day position is the main day-to-day point of contact for our warehousing customers and will also work as the liaison between the customer and our operations teams, ensuring that all client requirements are met in a timely manner.

This successful candidate will need to have very strong problem solving and creative thinking abilities with the capability to communicate effectively and proactively across various levels. This candidate will also need to have very strong interpersonal and customer orientation skills while also consistently meeting operational and productivity standards set by the company.

The Job Involves:
Receive and respond to all incoming communications regarding customer orders, Purchase Orders (PO) and Advance Shipment Notices’ (ASN)
Responsible for order management and planning process which require proactive communication and follow-up with clients, warehouse team and transport carriers regarding pick-ups and deliveries
Complete a variety of administrative functions including responding to general correspondence, answering the telephone, filing, data entry for order fulfillment, etc.
Track orders, respond to Proof of Delivery (POD) requests
Research issues by contacting involved parties, running necessary reports and/or conducting client meetings at our premises
Enter and update client information
Monitor inventory for order fulfillment
Proactively keeps operations departments apprised of any foreseeable customer issues, ensuring that customer requirements are met
Other responsibilities as required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
1 year of previous customer service experience, preferably in the logistics industry
Must be proficient with MS Office, especially Excel
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong problem solving and creative thinking abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proactive and task-oriented
Strong data entry and typing skills
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and allocate time effectively
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
Ability to analyse and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required

Pay is $17.50/ hour
