Logistics Coordinator

A family-owned moving company, established over 60 years ago, is looking for a Logistics Coordinator with a strong customer-focus, excellent written and communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and the ability to multitask and problem solve. Logistics industry experience is an asset but not essential.

The position is currently based for the next several months in Richmond but the company is relocating their business to Abbotsford in the fall, so this could be a great opportunity for an individual who would prefer to work in the Fraser Valley!


  • Source, setup, and manage logistic movements for clients
  • Answer phones and respond to emails from both internal and external sources
  • Negotiate rates with clients and carriers as needed
  • Prepare required shipping documentation
  • Order entry in database system for all shipments arranged
  • Monitor shipments – track from pickup to delivery
  • Collaborate with the Operations teams in order to meet client timeline and needs
  • Review and complete reports as assigned


  • Proficient reading, writing, and speaking in English
  • Strong typing and computer skills, including using Word & Excel
  • Strong numeracy and math skills
  • Able to present themselves in a professional manner in person, telephone, and email
