Job Title: LIFE SKILLS WORKER | #2095
Service Area: Vocational & Community Services
Location: Vancouver, BC
Start Date: November 10, 2025
Term/Status: Permanent Full Time
Schedule/Hours: Flex-time //  37.5 hours per week
Hourly Wage:
$28.25 as per collective agreement

The Role:  

The nature of this position is to provide comprehensive and effective support to individuals living independently. You'll work one-on-one with clients, helping them build confidence and develop the everyday skills they need to thrive. From budgeting and cooking to navigating public transit and more — no two days are the same!

Requirements/Education/Experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in area directly related to supporting people with developmental disabilities such as Social Services.
  • 2 years’ experience working with people who deal with concurrent disorders.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully implement instructional and proactive training programs for clients.
  • Experience with principles of positive behaviour management is desirable.
  • A non-judgmental attitude, ability to relate to participants, work unsupervised, and generate/monitor workload.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Satisfactory Driver's Abstract
  • Class 5 Driver's License (Class 4 Unrestricted Driver's License is preferred)
  • Valid First Aid/CPR
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification
  • Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Eligible to work in Canada
