We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Relief Part Time LPN (Theatre Qualified)
to join Eagle Ridge Hospital
.Build on your education and experience as you:
•Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document patient care during the pre-operative, operative and immediate post-operative periods. •Perform scrub duties, admission of patient to the OR and circulating duties, in collaboration with the peri-operative team and the RN coordinating care in the O.R. •Alert the RN to any problems, changes or unusual signs or symptoms of the patient while in the operating room setting. •Document observations, treatment and other patient care activities during the pre, intra and post-operative periods by performing duties such as recording observations/information onto patient record. •Attend a variety of meetings such as staff meetings and quality improvement rounds to provide and obtain information and feedback about patients and patient care. To join the organization we require you to have:
•Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses with the full range of current licensed practical nursing competencies •Graduation from an accredited O.R. Program for Licensed Practical Nurses plus one (1) year recent related experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse in acute care •Current practicing registration as a LPN with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) •Current basic cardiac life support certification If this sounds like the ideal role for you, here are more reasons why you should apply:
