The closing date will be published with 5 days notice.POSITION SUMMARYEmployees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.
The Client Services department is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and service-oriented individual for the regular full-time position of Manager, Leasing Support.
Reporting to the Director, Client Services, the Manager, Leasing Support is accountable for provision of in-house subject matter expertise on commercial leasing, particularly in relation to 100+ constituency offices located throughout British Columbia, providing expert advice to MLAs, their staff, and Legislative Assembly staff. The Manager serves as the senior point of contact within the Legislative Assembly and bridge between clients and external and internal service providers in the management of the leasing portfolio. The Manager also plays a key role in planning, developing, implementing, overseeing, and refining workflows from initiation to execution to management of constituency office leases in a manner that best supports key client groups. To ensure the provision of all necessary supports, the Manager works with outsourced resources and helps ensure the client-focused and cost-effective provision of leasing services to key client groups.
QUALIFICATIONSApplicants must have:
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Minimum of five years of experience in commercial leasing.
- Minimum of two years of experience managing, motivating, coaching, and mentoring staff.
- Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting commercial leasing documents.
- Experience in logistics, stakeholder engagement, and workflow development and management.
- Experience in contract negotiation/management.
- Experience working in a complex and multi-faceted service-oriented environment.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
- Experience working in a parliamentary or public sector environment is considered an asset.
