The Role

The Cymax Junior Online Merchandising Associate is responsible for uploading new products and maintaining existing products on our website and other channels. The Online Merchandising Associate will work closely with the Category Management, Content and Marketing teams to ensure product data, copy, images and pricing are accurately uploaded. As an Online Merchandising Associate, you will be accountable for the integrity of the data you produce and more importantly, what is shown on our website is what the online shoppers will get. As Cymax continues to grow, the Online Merchandising Associate will play an integral part in shaping process changes to meet new trends.

The Team

Basically the owner of all manufacturer accounts and products, the Merchandising team is responsible for uploading and updating the products on our websites, on-boarding new manufacturers and maintaining a relationship with them. We may be playing with spreadsheets and analyzing data all day, but we always make sure there is never a dull moment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Parse and extract information and images from our vendor’s catalogs and websites
  • Upload product data using MS Excel and proprietary tools
  • Edit images and upload to FTP site
  • Ensure products are properly merchandised according to vendor specific requirements
  • Collaborate with Category Management and Content team to standardize product data
  • Maintain product data including pricing, shipping and product specifications on a regular basis
  • Update and correct product data
  • Identify and share opportunities for product improvements
  • Assist with documentation of process and procedures

Who You Are:
  • Excellent computer skills – intermediate to advanced MS Excel knowledge required
  • Experience with image editing software
  • Outstanding analytic and problem solving skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience

  • Keen attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Good understanding of e-commerce and online shopping experience
  • Capable of multi-tasking across multiple software applications and projects
  • Highly motivated with positive "can do" attitude and strong work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast pace and growing company environment
  • Interest in home furnishings, design and Marketing
