Salary Range:   $50,000- $60,000per annum.  Based on experience.

Job Description:

• Novus is currently seeking a Junior Network Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be an integral part of a cutting – edge VoIP, Internet, and TV technology company, immersed in a fast passed environment with exposure to a diverse range of experiences across various technologies. Our telecom environment provides employees with top – notch workmanship experiences and exciting technology involvements.

Responsibilities:

• Configuration, documentation, maintenance and troubleshooting of IP layer 2 and 3  networks     

• 1st, 2nd and 3rd level network support for IP networks

• Commercial services deployment and support

• IPTV deployment, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting

• Call Centre and Installer escalations

• Maintain internal office network and services

• Linux servers and services configuration, deployment and monitoring

• Testing and deployment of new network access and CPE technologies

• On-call/Stand-by duty and scheduled out of business hours maintenance work

Required Skills and Experience:

• Technical diploma, or certificate in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent

• CCNA or equivalent networking knowledge

• Knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol, specifically relating to the routing of IP packets (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, MPLS VPN, and Multicasting)

• Knowledge of layer2 network QoS and Multicast deployment.

• Knowledge with Network Monitoring software and solutions

• Working understanding of core technologies of Windows and Linux

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Experience working on simultaneous projects spanning different domains

• Class 5 Drivers License and vehicle

• Knowledge of scripting language – Bash,Python
• Remote management protocol – NetConf,RESTConf, SNMP

Assets:

• Familiar with BIND, DHCP, Apache services

• Familiar with Internet streaming and encoding technologies

• Experience with Wifi Technologies

• Experience in Linux server and services deployments

• Familiar with GPON, G. fast and G.hn technologies
