At WSP our Environmental Engineering team are providing field data collection services to position WSP as a leader in the market. We're looking for a Junior Environmental Scientist or Technologist to join the Environment team and to be located at our Kelowna office in BC. Reporting to the Team Lead, Environment Interior and North Group, you will perform field data collection and assist with on-site assessment and remediation services. Why choose WSP?

#WeAre WSP What you can expect to do here:
•You will execute site-specific field data collection for the Environmental Group (contaminated sites division) across various regions of BC
• You will be required to travel throughout the province (for short periods of time typically)
• You will assist with on-site assessment and remediation activities
•You will maintain effective communication with team members, contractors and clients
•You will complete assignments within the constraints of the project work plans and budgets
•You will prepare accurate and detailed field notes
•Tabulation of data including the preparation of borehole/test pit logs
•Assist in the preparation of technical reports
•You will always ensure health and safety policies are followed at all sites and take WSP's Life Saving rules to heart and;
•Other duties as assigned or required in your role. What you'll bring to WSP:
•You possess a technical College Certificate or University degree in environmental engineering/science or related discipline
•You have a valid and fully licensed driver
•You enjoy the outdoors, as fieldwork will likely comprise approximately 50% - 70% of the work week
•The desire to succeed in a dynamic and progressive global organization
