Our client is a reputable and collegial downtown Vancouver law firm that provides an excellent platform for skilled professionals. This client is seeking a 1-3 year real estate legal assistant to join their team of professional, outstanding workers.

Essential Functions:

File maintenance, including daily filing, file organization, opening and closing files
Practice management for the lawyers including maintenance of client lists, bring forward/tracking system and calendars
Preparation of documents for real estate transactions, correspondence, memoranda and various other documents
Conduct online searches
Manage trust accounting matters, cheque requisitions, deposits
Handle incoming and outgoing mail
Answer client telephone calls and general inquiries
General administrative duties, including entering timesheets and production of (heavy) billing of accounts


Graduate of an accredited legal administrative assistant program;
1 to 3 years of experience in a legal environment supporting a business solicitor, particularly in a commercial real estate practice;
Strong technical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills;
The ability to handle stringent deadlines and the volume of a busy practice;
Excellent organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail;
The ability to build rapport with the team, and provide support to solicitors, legal administrative assistants and paralegals; and
General administrative duties as required.
