Position Highlights ICBC is one of BC's largest corporations and one of Canada's largest property and casualty (P&C) insurers with annual earned premiums of $5.9 billion and $19.8 billion in assets.
We currently have an opportunity for a Junior Actuarial Analyst to join the Financial reporting and forecasting team in the Corporate Actuarial department. As a Junior Actuarial Analyst, you will apply your newly minted technical skills in Actuarial Science in supporting various functions including financial reporting, capital adequacy testing, claims data preparation, reconciliation and validation. Other duties may also be assigned depending on the successful candidate's training and experience.
Position Requirements As a qualified applicant, you will have: •A post-secondary degree; •Excellent verbal and written communication skills complemented by solid analytical skills and critical thinking; •Knowledge of MS Excel will be required while exposure to Visual Basic, SAS, SQL, and Tableau are considered assets; •Knowledge of actuarial principles; •Some relevant work experience; property and casualty actuarial work experience would be ideal.
