Journeyman Millwright (Pumps Equipment): Harvey 2075
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and committed tradesperson with superior technical and strong interpersonal skills to join our Burnaby, BC facility.
Our successful candidate must be experienced and capable of building pumps; with experience with vertical and horizontal pumps preferred.

How You Will Contribute:
Under limited supervision, interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, sketches, and performs precision metal cutting, grinding, shaping and fitting.
Measure components, parts and raw materials with precision measuring instruments, gauges and tools.
Perform all necessary tasks in the repair and maintenance of our companies Pumps’ and all other manufacturers’ pumping equipment, while strictly adhering to customer, OEM and industry standard specifications.
Follows department policy and procedures manual.
Assembles all types of pumping equipment to customer, OEM, and industry standard specifications.
Performs final as-built inspections and records data appropriately according to customer requirements.
Disassembles all types of pumping equipment to gain access to remove, clean and inspect components.
Performs as-found inspections and records data appropriately according to customer requirements.
Plans sequence of own work operations and methods of set-up, including methods of mounting, leveling, aligning, holding and fastening work.
Interprets blueprints, charts, tables, handbook formulas, sketches and written and verbal orders.
Lays out work according to requirements.
Performs any bench work necessary to finish and fit parts to required customer specifications.
Selects and grinds own cutting tools.
Participates in investigating and determining root cause failure of equipment and components; recommends repair methods and procedures.
Determines the proper materials needed for repairs as per BOM.
Following engineering directives and drawings, contours impellers and pump casings to meet hydraulic requirements.
Performs final testing and inspection requirements when required.SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains a safe, neat and orderly workstation.
Maintains machine tools as required to keep all shop equipment in good operating condition.
Assists other team members as directed, including training and assisting less experienced coworkers.
Works overtime as requested.
Supports, cooperates with and participates in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
Supports and cooperates in company-wide LEAN effort which is based on teamwork.
Performs other duties as required.
