What & Why:

Our retail client has a high priority initiative to complete by the end of the year and are looking for a Java contractor to assist in the upgrade of their SDK as well as continuous updates to the system to ensure data accuracy across the organization.  You should have a number of years experience with Couchbase or MongoDB database experience 


Our client is located in Burnaby with a shuttle service running from Metrotown to the office.  They are a very collaborative office and celebrate success as a team.  The office has many amenities including free parking, on-site gym and a subsidized cafeteria. 


You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

  • 4+ years' experience in web or enterprise application development and tiered application design in Java.
  • Experience with MongoDB
  • 2+ years' experience in advanced design pattern.
  • 4+ years' experience working with Java-focused web architectures and platforms (Apache, Apache Tomcat, Web Services).
  • Your technical expertise includes JavaSE, Couchbase, enterprise level relational database, Unix shell scripting, Web Services, Rabbit MQ, Testing & Build frameworks (JUnit, Ant/Maven, etc.).
