We currently have an opening for an IT Manager at our head office in Richmond, BC. The IT Manager ensures that Transoft’s system infrastructure, internet, communication and application services are procured, deployed, maintained and operating smoothly to meet the business needs of the company.


The IT Manager anticipates future needs, take preventive measures and proactively seek out practical solutions to enable Transoft to operate efficiently and effectively.  The IT Manager works closely with the DevOps Manager to assist with trouble shooting ERP application and data integrity issues. This role is responsible for the management of IT employees and has supervisory responsibilities for contractors and IT support staff at different Transoft offices.

Key Responsibilities:

System Infrastructure:

  • Responsible for all group-wide hardware, PC, VM, network and cloud-based Infrastructure.
  • Analyze and resolve operating system, hardware and network issues.
  • Maintain adequate backup with the ability to recover that data.  
  • Oversee network support of international offices.
  • Defining and maintaining Security, Usage and Backup Policies. Ensuring compliance with those policies after they are initiated.

Internet and Application Services:

  • Manage external domain and hosting services.
  • Provide internal support of productivity applications such as emails and Office.
  • Maintain required level of system security.
  • Create, implement and maintain Business Continuity Plan.
  • Maintain time-tracking System and implement uptime status monitoring.
  • Implement and maintain Helpdesk ticketing system.


  • Prepare global IT capital budget for each region with assistance from regional managers
  • Procure and provision hardware and electronic equipment according to budget, schedule or as needed.
  • Liaise and manage relationship with IT related vendors.


  • Ensure the voice, data and video conference communication meet the needs of the company.
  • Responsible for the company phone system.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in IT Engineering or related fields.
  • You have 3 or more years of experience
    • managing a small IT department with multiple staff.
    • managing an enterprise level infrastructure with multiple locations.
    • with Microsoft network and virtualization technology, and SQL database.
    • configuring, deploying and maintaining Windows and Linux Servers
    • configuring, deploying and maintaining IIS and Apache Web Servers
  • You possess exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of overall System Architecture. 
  • You understand TCP/IP networking concepts and principles.
  • You have experience with hardware and software life cycle management, enterprise security and backup systems.
  • You are able to work with other Technical Managers and Senior Management. You can communicate effectively with internal and external clients in both technical jargon and laymen’s terminology.
  • You are always aware of emerging technologies, and can implement those that will assist Transoft in achieving its vision within resource and financial constraints.
  • You have the ability to travel.
  • You are flexible in working hours to manage a 24/7 environment.
