The Information Systems Branch (ISB) provides IM/IT planning, architecture, project support, application development, IT security, technology, and information support services to the Economy Sector. The Economy Sector includes multiple ministries, application environments and mission critical applications.

This position reports to the Director of Software Architecture & Solutions and provides management of ministry corporate software development environments and infrastructure. Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:


Education
• Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline, and two (2) years of related experience*, OR
• Diploma or certificate in Computer Science or related discipline, and three (3) years of related experience*, OR
• An equivalent combination of education, training and related experience* totaling a minimum of five (5) years may be considered.

*Related experience includes the following:
• Experience as a senior architect.
• Experience supervising staff and providing technical advice to work teams.
• Experience in all aspects of application development using a System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern Software Engineering practices.
• Experience working in an agile development environment to iteratively create or improve digital products and services from conception to production.
• Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment principles.

Preference may be given to candidates with 1 or more of the following:
• 5 or more years of experience in a senior architecture role.
• 3 or more years of experience supervising staff and providing technical advice to work teams.
• Experience with modern cloud architectures.
