This position is located within the Ministry of Finance, Information Management Branch and is part of the Service Desk team. The focus of the job is to provide technical support by receiving, diagnosing, and/or escalating service requests and incident reports to resolve complex data and application problems. The Service Desk Analyst role serves clients across several program areas and geographic locations in Ministry of Finance, Office of the Premier and various agencies, boards, and commissions.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Diploma, certification or equivalent in the computer science field or a related field; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years experience providing customer support services in an information technology environment or helping end users to use and understand computer hardware and software.

Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following:
  • Experience with government policies and standards relating to the delivery of IT programs.
  • Experience with JIRA and/or Service Now.
