The Economy Sector is comprised of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs, Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, Ministry of Jobs, Economic Recovery and Innovation and the Ministry of Labour. The Information Services Branch provides support in a trusted advisor capacity to support program areas in meeting their technology needs. We offer flexible work arrangements, including the opportunity to telework part-time (with conditions) as set out in applicable employer policies.
As a core member of the Service Desk team, you will support the Economy Sector with IT Order Management and Tier 1 & 2 technical troubleshooting. This position provides support such as but not limited to IT service requests for onboarding and offboarding IT assets and services, deskside and remote technical troubleshooting, managing building security access, and act as a valued stakeholder and contributing team member for various enhancement projects directly impacting the Service Desk. As a Business Support Analyst, your critical thinking and problem solving skills as well as overall friendly and positive attitude will contribute to our rewarding office culture and support the Service Desk's motto of "We're here to help."

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
Preference may be given to applicants:
- Diploma or equivalent in computer science or a related field.
- One (1) year experience providing customer support services in an information technology environment.
- One (1) year experience helping end users to use and understand computer hardware and software.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

- Preference may be given to applicants with experiencing working on projects to improve internal operations and efficiency using methodologies such as Agile, Lean, etc.,
