Who - the Company:

Our client is a global investment management firm with an outstanding reputation around the world.  They employ around 500 people worldwide who are talented, bright, hard-working, and dedicated to business excellence for their clients. 

What - the Role:  Investment Associate, permanent & full-time, with initial training in BERMUDA!

The new Associate will be working in a group responsible for managing institutional client relationships.

The responsibilities are diverse, and will include such things as answering due diligence questions and client queries, preparing and editing investment communications and materials, assisting with a variety of ad hoc reporting, market research and analysis, planning and and coordinating external engagement activities and business meetings, and contributing to internal reporting to the company’s Board.

The successful candidate will be required to develop a detailed understanding of all aspects of the firm, as well as the investment landscape in Canada.

There will be opportunity over time to take on greater responsibility, including leading strategic initiatives and/or meeting with institutional clients and investment consultants. The position offers opportunity for extensive interaction with senior members of the firm and considerable scope for career development.

  • Self-motivation and the ability to thrive in an unstructured environment.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think independently.
  • An interest and desire to develop expertise in the investment management industry, however, prior experience in financial services is not required.
  • Hard-working, team-player mentality, and not title-fixated.


How Much:

The total compensation with this company is heavily influenced by performance. To start, the base salary will likely be in the range of $70,000 to $90,000, plus an achievable and generous bonus based on results.  There is exceptional opportunity for career growth.


Bermuda and then Vancouver. As part of their training, the successful applicant will relocate to our client’s head office in Bermuda on a temporary basis (6-18 months). The company will compensate appropriately for the move and to first settle down in Bermuda.
