THE ROLE

A globally recognized manufacturing company, with over 35 years of veteran experience in the industry. Our client continues to provide excellent service to their client on an international level. They are looking for a well-rounded Inventory Control/Purchaser for their location in Delta .

In this role of Inventory Control/Purchaser , you will be reporting to the Operations Manager and you will be working closely with the Controller. In this role, you will oversee purchasing transactions and maintain the inventories of materials and products. This is a long-term position and full-time position and you will be working on the day shift Monday to Friday. You will be initially hired as a contractor for the first 6 months and once you have proven your ability, you will be hired on as a permanent employee!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Following up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, outstanding payments, and late orders

•Complete data entries including data entry for stock replenishment, liaison with other departments such as the Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance

•Creating and processing purchase orders and update the inventory management system

•Inventory management such as creating reports, and managing inventory stock

•Cross-referencing purchases orders with invoices

REQUIREMENTS:

•Minimum of 3-5 years working as an inventory or purchaser clerk within an industrial company

•Experience with moving or tracking commodities such as parts, steel, metal, nationally or globally (cross border shipping)

•SAP experience is an asset

•Experience working with large industrial inventory ( 5-10 million in stock)

•Intermediate MS office skills

•Able to pass a background check

COMPENSATION:

•$55,000 - $65,000 ($26 to $31 per hour)

•6 month contract to permanent
