We are currently looking for an Intermediate to Senior Civil/Structural Engineer, with 5 to 10 years plus of current Management working experience, in the areas of sawmill, Mining, and industrial process design.

Our company is a multi-discipline consulting engineering company that specializes in Sawmills, and material handling projects. A complete engineering package includes the conceptual design, capital cost estimates, project management, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and process control.

We have strong expertise in developing Sawmill and industrial process design, for the Mining and other industries. We specialize in material handling and mill flow designs, which exploit the advantages of high technology machinery, to obtain the highest production rates and recovery.

Our company has established a broad client base across North America that utilizes our services on an ongoing basis. Our current and future workload will provide new employees with stability and opportunities for growth within our organization.

Job Overview:

We have an immediate opening for an Intermediate to Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with 5 to 10 years plus of current working experience, to join our team of established design professionals.

This is a great opportunity for an individual who wants to develop their management and design skills, in an experienced, professional environment, and take over a Management position in the next few years.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise in developing structural designs and peer review, of fellow designers, in all areas of construction from concept to final construction.
  • Assist drafting team members in translating design concepts to paper and producing concise, finished construction drawings for use by site personnel and fabricators
  • Check the work produced by junior personnel

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree from a recognized University or College, and eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGBC in BC.
  • Five to 10 years plus of design experience primarily with industrial structures for sawmills mines, and other industrial process design projects.
  • Good working knowledge of ‘P-Frame’, ‘S-Frame’ and ‘ETABS’
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong organizational ability and proven time management skills
  • Attention to detail is very important
  • Solid command of English, both written and verbal

 

This is a fulltime position, for an Engineer with management experience

Salary of $100,000 plus per year, depending on your current working experience
