Tasktop is looking for a software engineer who thrives on delivering user visible features across our Tasktop Integration Hub applications. We’re searching for someone to join a new team to create next generation visibility tools. Our product offers the best in class tool integration solutions and we need you to help us make the software value stream visible, creating amazing visibility product features and delighting our customers.
Things you’ll be working on:
Automating build, test, and deployment environments using tools such as JUnit, Selenium, Karma, Jasmine, Jenkins, AWS, and more.
Working across teams to deliver features in a collaborative, internal open source culture.
Identifying and removing blockers that could prevent delivery of features including cross-team dependencies and architectural concerns.
Being a technology leader to push the boundaries of our technology and Agile process.
Effectively mentoring more junior engineers to ensure we continue to grow.
What will the work and team be like?
You will join our upcoming Tasktop visibility team, creating features that provide fundamentally new ways of gaining insight into large scale software delivery value streams. This is a new area of development and will require working with customers, working in a very Agile and experimental approach while delivering incremental value.
If you are a problem solver with a track record of working with end users, solving user’s problems, writing high quality code, and inspiring others to do the same, then there’s a role for you at Tasktop.
Our multi-disciplinary engineering teams, including developers, designers, product owners, and testers to ensure fast and agile development. We practice continuous improvement (code reviews, sharing of best practices, team building), automation (Selenium, Karma, Jasmine), and continuous delivery (Jenkins, Docker, AWS, etc). We are a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Great candidates have:
3+ years of professional software development experience and a proven ability to deliver
Experience working with business analysts and product owners to guide the development of software features from customer problem to delivered solution
Experience in writing well-tested software using JUnit and other testing tools
Familiarity with using web APIs with a focus on REST
Experience with at least one scripting language (Ruby, Python, Bash, etc.)
Knowledge of best practices in software design and Agile development process
Self-motivated, independent, and team-oriented
Burning desire to learn and grow
If you know some of the following, that’s even better:
Experience in building web APIs and software that uses web services
Experience with DevOps automation tools (Docker, Chef, Ansible, etc)
Experience in creating modular systems with Maven
Contributions to open source projects
