Under the direction of the Manager, Software & Enterprise Systems, the Intermediate Banner ERP IT Analyst supports ERP IT daily operations, including data replication and backups, scheduled jobs, and availability and performance of user-facing Banner pages. They also ensure proper configuration of Banner settings, maintain customizations, and perform regular upgrades. The role also involves collaborating closely with the functional areas on their operations and process streamlining. Additionally, they often collaborate with other developers and technical staff.

Performs daily IT Banner Enterprise Resource Planning ( ERP ) functions, including:
- •Monitoring the availability and performance of the ERP throughout its many environments. •Ensuring scheduled ERP jobs run successfully to completion. •Provide support to other IT team members and functional areas regarding Banner ERP operations, including troubleshooting reported issues, root cause analysis, and fixing issues, whether via configuration or code changes, end-user guidance, and/or assisting with raising tickets with Ellucian as needed and then tracking them to resolution. •Monitor the ERP backups to ensure they are performed promptly and accurately. •Plan and perform Banner upgrades under the supervision of the ERP DevOps Lead, including installing Linux, ORACLE , and Software patches and updates, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery, and having no downtime during business hours. •Maintain and enhance all Banner integrations working as designed, whether via direct Database connections, native Banner APIs or tailored APIs, via Ethos when applicable. •Design and develop new Banner integrations as the business requires, relying on Ethos and aiming for compliance with Ellucian SaaS from the start. •Collaborate with clients and technical staff on systems analysis, including software system reviews, requirements gathering, process optimization, workflow design, data mapping, documentation, testing, and project planning. •Develops both frontend and backend components for business applications that surround the ERP and ensures completion of integration, quality, accuracy, security, and compliance to standards. •Assists in implementing changes to production systems, including regulatory compliance updates, software releases, system design changes, new application software, permissions, data access, and integrations. •Manages databases, data, and Extract-Transform-Load ( ETL ) jobs, and ensures data governance, integrity, access, and usage. •Acquires and develops knowledge of IT, HR, Finance, Registration, and Student business processes, inter-system communications, data flows, ad-hoc and scheduled jobs, and supports enterprise system functionality across departments. •Provides technical support, resolves issues, and offers end users and clients advice, guidance, and training to end-users. •Contributes to determining enterprise product roadmaps, implementation schedules, prioritization of tasks, and work breakdown for enterprise system installation, maintenance, updates, and testing/verification. •Performs risk assessments and manages communications and change management processes for ERP and surrounding systems' outages, maintenance, updates, regulatory compliance, and major functionality changes. •Stays current on emerging technologies and provides recommendations on potential adoption by Okanagan College. •Trains users on utilizing applications, network, cloud, and infrastructure systems. •Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- •University degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering, with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. •Demonstrated experience with development and operations of ERP or similar complex systems and integrations is required. •Experience working in a Post-Secondary Education environment or with large ERP systems such as Ellucian Banner is preferred. •Knowledge of ORACLE Databases, query language and administration is a differentiator.
