About the Opportunity

Gescan currently has opportunities for Inside Sales Representatives in Langley

In these roles, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive customer relationships and
ensuring customer satisfaction with regards to orders, products, pricing, deliveries, and overall level of service.

Your core duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Contacting current customers, highlighting new products, and creating opportunities to upsell
  • Responding to inquiries, providing pricing quotations and following-up on quotes, as well as processing incoming calls and orders
  • Opening new accounts, providing quotations and product information, entering orders into the system, and closing orders
  • Developing a customer base and sales leads by making both cold and warm calls
  • Maintaining up to date on current products while continuing to learn about new products
  • Identifying products that the customer requires that may not be stocked by the Company and sourcing the products
  • Purchasing (direct orders)
  • Helping with counter sales (if necessary) 
  • Shipping & Receiving, verifying daily orders, and filling in if the shipper/receiver is absent (if necessary)
  • Carrying out credits/debits, or returns as required
  • Providing basic technical support on products 
  • Troubleshooting with various issues that may arise such as freight problems, expediting, etc.

In order to qualify for this role, you will have a high school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of related inside sales experience. Candidates with a strong electrical background who are looking to break into a sales role are also encouraged to apply. 

Above all, you are a motivated professional with the ability to think outside of the box. Your strong communication skills and your ability to both work independently and also as part of the team will be the key to your success in this role.
