This is highly visible role within a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative software company located in beautiful Denver, CO and Vancouver, BC.  The position will report directly to the VP of Industry Solutions for Enbala (a Generac Company). Enbala was recently acquired by Generac (HQ in Wisconsin) and will continue to operate as an independent business unit within the Generac family.  Generac primarily operates under the same name in North America and the Pramac brand in Europe and rest-of-world.  A very well-respected company around the globe. 

As an Industry Solution Architect, you will be responsible for creating and executing the technical sales strategy alongside sales and business development as we work to impress our Virtual Power Plant (VPP) and Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) customers. You will partner with our customers to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient solution architectures that solve customer business problems and accelerate the adoption Distributed Energy Resource (DER) and Internet-of-things (IoT) optimization and control services. You will focus on solving for core business goals that are critical to the customer’s business and add to the customer’s own value proposition.

As a trusted technical customer advocate, you will have the opportunity to help shape and execute our customer’s strategies while building mindshare and broad use of Generac and Enbala products and Software services. You will also internally partner with other teams within Generac such as the other product lines, marketing, and professional services, executive management as well as Enbala’s many external technology partners and systems integrators.

Accepting applicants from any location (remote opportunity).  Home location flexible, close proximity to airport is desirable. This position includes travel up to 50% within the continental US and may include global travel as needed based on the needs of clients.  



  • 10 or more years design/implementation/consulting experience of large-scale, enterprise software applications
  • 7 or more years’ experience working in or with electric generation, transmission, distribution or retail companies
  • Understanding of the DER/IoT vendor/partner ecosystem and technologies in the DER realm
  • Technical degree in Engineering or equivalent field of study required


  •  5+ years’ experience working with multi-national Energy/Utility customers in support of DER technology sales
  • Experience with cloud solutions, virtual platforms, software development, and operational management practices and industry frameworks
  • Professional experience architecting/operating solutions on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) foundation
  • Knowledge of energy trading and ancillary services markets (utility and ISO programs) domestically and abroad
