We’re looking for a qualified in-house Construction Paralegal to join their construction legal department. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator who is able to provide clear, concise and complete oral and written information. You have the ability to plan and manage projects, attend to time-sensitive issues, manage changing priorities and deadlines all the while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of colleagues. You are known as a person who provides a strong team work orientation in a collaborative working environment.   These attributes will position you to enjoy your work and thrive. This position reports directly to senior level associates and partners.  


  • High organizational skills matched with the ability to prioritize and coordinate large, active files with large volumes of documents
  • A strong, independent work ethic with exceptional time-management and follow-up skills are necessary
  • Natural ability to run complex files with minimal assistance and supervision
  • Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently effectively and efficiently
  • Sound business judgment and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information that pertains the multi-party files
  • Ability to utilize litigation software: Discovery, Ipro, Casemap and EclipseSE
  • Excellent communication abilities and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment


  • Completion of a Paralegal Diploma from an accredited institution along with 3+ years’ experience in the field
  • Proficiency in utilizing Litigation support software such as: Discovery, Ipro, Casemap, EclipseSE and MS Office Suite
  • The ability to work on very complex, multi-party construction files with large volumes of documents.
  • Your employment record will reflect that you are highly organized and detail-oriented, that you enjoy challenges where you have to think on your feet and fit all the pieces together.  
  • The ability to review and list documents using Summation, organize and interpret evidence, draft lists of documents, correspondence and pleadings; interview witnesses, arrange examinations for discovery and trial dates; preparation of applications, execute BC-Online searches and conduct legal research.
  • Coordinating, reviewing and interpreting required evidence and preparing court application and executing BC-Online searches
  • Reviewing testimonies, drafting correspondence and pleadings, and coordinating examinations for discovery and trial dates
