Human Resources Director

Salary:  $120 000 - $140 000

Location:  Richmond

This organization is the installation services arm of a major do it yourself retailer. This company is one of the fastest growing in their industry and offers free in home consultation and professional installation of windows, doors, roofing, siding eaves and insulation. In addition to helping the home owner renovation market they are also a large supplier to the insurance and home restoration markets. To aid in their growth this business is looking for a Human Resource Director develop and implement a holistic people strategy.


Reporting to the President of the organization the Human Resources Director is responsible for developing and implementing people strategy for the organization. Key aspects of this role will include succession planning, recruitment, employee retention, training and development as well as performance management.  There will be a heavy emphasis on implementing Human Resources best practices and change management.  This is an entrepreneurial environment so wading in and getting your hands dirty is expected.


To be considered for this role you must have

  • 7+ years progressive Human Resources experience
  • Strong leadership experience that is able to build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • A background in guiding and coaching senior leadership to help develop people strategy
  • Experience building performance management tools, developing training programs and creating recruitment and retention programs
  • A deep understanding of human resources best practices and change management
  • Able to commute daily to South Richmond

Additional requirements that would be beneficial

  • A University Degree in business or post-secondary certificate in Human Resources
  • CHRP certification


$120 000 - $140 000 plus excellent benefits package and RRSP
