Location: Burnaby, BC


  • Manage and compile files as needed for internal and external staff records, while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Acquire a solid understanding of several employment acts and regulations, and maintain and promote compliance
  • Participate in health and safety procedures for company; this includes ensuring complete records of employee injuries and organizing drug and alcohol testing for staff at various locations
  • Assist with immigration; this includes working with legal parties to help process visa applications, monitoring key dates, maintaining an up-to-date knowledge on procedures, and ensuring an organized system of files
  • Enter and maintain secure employee information on company database
  • Provide administrative assistance to the HR Coordinator and Executive Assistants when needed
  • Maintain strong knowledge on position requirements while updating the manual as needed
  • Handle various administrative functions including mail, deliveries, faxing, filing, and printing – act as reception back up when needed
  • Proactively assess the team and clients’ needs and be willing to go above and beyond for internal and external stakeholders


  • 2+ years’ experience in an administrative capacity
  • Experience with HR policies and functions is considered a strong asset
  • Previous experience developing and maintaining strong client relationships is an asset
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills along with a high level of accuracy
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism are a must
  • You are highly reliable and possess a strong capability to take direction and follow exact instructions given
  • Ability to exercise complete confidentiality regarding client and company information
  • Strong ability to both prioritize and heavily multitask in a fast-paced environment is a must
  • You are not afraid of deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Ability to demonstrate high degree of professionalism and tact at all times
  • High level of enthusiasm and eagerness to learn
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Advanced MS Office Suite skills
