The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources team in the execution of the People Strategy for the GroupHEALTH Family of Companies (GHFoC).

The HR Coordinator (12 Month Contract) plays a key role in administering the GHFoC’s Learning Management System (LMS), the new employee onboarding program, corporate wellness and health and safety initiatives, and supports the HR team with employee lifecycle changes and other HR projects as required. It is critical that a high level of service is provided to all stakeholders with every interaction to ensure that our amazing employee oriented, high performance culture is maintained.


First 30 Days
  • Conduct 1-on-1 “getting to know you” meetings with all members of the Human Resources team
  • Have a sound understanding of the Corporate, HR & L&D Strategy and objectives
  • Complete Introduction to UltiPro Canada and Employee Administration training course

First 60 Days
  • Participate in the implementation of UltiPro Learning – the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Attend implementation project team meetings and complete all required training
  • Assume responsibility for L&D program administration

First 90 Days
  • Become familiar with the corporate wellness program and assume responsibility for program administration
  • In partnership with the HR team, begin the process to embed Core and Leadership competencies with HR programs


  • Acts as a key project team member during the Learning Management System (LMS) implementation for the GHFoC
  • Administers the Learning Management System (LMS), including employee enrollment, tracking, and reporting on course participation for the GHFoC
  • Administers the Employee Education Program, including tracking and the reimbursement process
  • Enrolls employees in mandatory compliance training and reports on course completion
  • Schedules and coordinates training sessions as required
  • Participates in the design and execution of the New Employee Onboarding program
  • Coordinates the New Employee Onboarding process and related follow-up activities
  • Supports the HR team with administering employment lifecycle changes in UltiPro
  • Posts HR updates to the company intranet page
  • Plans and coordinates company wellness activities, including Lunch & Learns and Random Acts of Wellness; reconciles monthly employee wellness deductions
  • Supports the HR team with administering the annual Performance Review & Salary Review processes
  • Assists with Health & Safety activities and initiatives
  • Updates HR Metrics and Reporting as required
  • Creates and documents L&D and HR Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) as required
  • Coordinates length of service awards
  • Responds to general employee inquiries and escalates to HR Manager as required
  • Updates and maintains employee files
  • Completes other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in an administrative Human Resources focused role
  • Post-secondary education (Bachelor’s degree/Diploma) preferably in Human Resources Management or related field
  • Experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS) and Human Resources Information System (HRIS); UltiPro preferred
  • Working towards CPHR considered an asset
  • Experience working and thriving in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, Visio)

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including learning & development, employee engagement, performance & talent management, talent acquisition and health & safety
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Innovative thinker, with the ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships of trust with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong focus on providing exceptional customer service to all stakeholders
