One of our Client's, a leader in the Global Finance Consulting market is looking for an experienced HR Consultant to join them on a project in Uganda, East Africa for a likely duration of 2-3 months.   Additional consideration is given to those who have worked with financial instituations and have a diverse cultural footprint in their career history.

Below are some highlights on the engagement:

1)  Skills Audit & Staffing Levels

  • The assignment involves reviewing the current skills gap and then propose a training program and or placements to various institutions to enable the organization to acquire the required skills in-house. Also based on the new proposed structure, identify all the skills requirements and recommend how the skills can be acquired.
  • The activities under this task are designed to undertake a comprehensive Skills Audit and define the current Skills Gap.

The activities will include the following:

Review the staff skills gap and the related human resource requirements (skills gap bridging recommendations) needed for strengthening our capacity to deliver its mandate through a mix of deployment, re-skilling and additional staff to ensure that best practices are embedded in all sector operations;


The deliverables will include but not limited to the following:

  1. Description or list of all skills requirements necessary for the

    organization to deliver its strategy

  2. An analysis of the skills gap for the different jobs in the Organization

  3. A training programs list to bridge the skill gaps above;

  4. Recommendations for institutions that can offer the training

    programs to bridge the skill gaps identified

  5. Job Analysis & Pay structuring for different Staff Levels for the different staffing levels and recommending a design framework within which equitable, fair and consistent reward policies can be implemented. The consultant is expected to review and assess the pay structure that drives performance competition among staff, relate it with the market pay structure and as well, define the framework described above, that can be implemented going forward.

The activities will include the following:

To design a framework within which equitable, fair and consistent reward policies can be implemented.

  1. To provide a pay structure that enables harmonization of terms of conditions for employees of similar jobs.

  2. To design a structure that provides a competitive platform to recruit and retain excellent employees.

  3. To ensure that there is scope to reward employees that make an exceptional contribution.


  1.  A revised grading structure,;

  2. A pay structure; and

  3.  An equitable, fair and consistent reward policies’ framework.
