We are currently looking for an Intermediate to Senior HR Business Partner, who has previous working experience in the engineering and manufacturing industries for Heavy Equipment Manufacturing.

Formulate HR strategy in support of the Company’s business strategy and create framework and initiatives, to help managers engage employee and build company culture.

This role shall be part of a collective leadership team to strategize and execute plans to proactively compete for talent and manage talent to achieve company goals;

  • Partner with other managers to recruit, retain and recognise “A’ players.
  • Assist the GM/CEO on leadership development and inculcate a learning culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Culture building and people development:

  • Formulate HR strategy in tandem with company’s business strategy.
  • Champion employee recognition w.r.t. company values
  • Promote learning and development
  • Develop leadership program to help managers grow in their roles
  • Work with leaders to coach and connect with their people towards company goals and objectives

Hiring Right and Onboarding:

  • Bringing in new star player that can add to the Culture, competencies and value to customers
  • Efficient use of resource to recruit and retain
  • Effective screening of candidates to support hiring managers
  • Purposeful onboarding program to assess and evaluate new hire for role and

culture fit; enable potential “A” player to begin their journey with company on right footing

Employee Engagement:

  • Partner managers to build winning teams through managing and retaining high performing, committed staff and support continuous improvement in their capacity to deliver excellent outcomes.
  • Partner managers to develop effective communication channels throughout the company
  • Create Opportunities for Involvement of Individual in Team Building
  • Promote employee feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement
  • Celebrate the Employees’ success, teamwork and collaboration

Remuneration, Compensation and Benefits:

  • Work with CEO and CFO to conduct annual salary benchmarking and review
  • Recommend remuneration for new hires
  • Coordinate group insurance and benefits

Effective and Efficient System & Process:

  • Performance and appraisal
  • Hiring and Onboarding
  • Training and development
  • Exit management

Skills and Competencies Required:

  • Good analytical skills and proficient with MS Excel
  • At least 5 years of experience working in various aspects of HR roles in company of 50 to 100 people, preferably including engineers and technicians
  • Conversant with ESA and employment contract matters. CPHR desirable
