Milieu Children and Family Services is hiring a Full Time Youth Residential Manager

Location: Prince George

The Residential Manager must have experience supporting youth in a transitional respite setting with developmental disabilities, challenging behavior, high medical needs, autism, and youth at risk.

Plans, implements and oversees the day-to-day activities of a youth residential respite program, including staff scheduling, following support plans for youth, working with youth, OT, PT, and behaviorists, supporting staff to teach life skills, activities of daily living, collaborating and community/ school settings. Participates in program development and facilitation, policies and procedure formulation, program evaluation and budget preparation. The Residential Youth Manager position requires a flexible schedule and is a salaried position. The Residential Youth Manager flexes their schedule (9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm etc.) as needed to ensure appropriate supervision and direction is available for both staff and the youth we support. The Residential Manager reports to a Coordinator and/or Director of youth services


  • 2 years’ management leadership certification and/or experience leading a team and 4 years of social services related education and/or experience working with youth with developmental disabilities.
  • Experience/Knowledge in complex care needs, trauma training, positive behavioral support, community care licensing regulations, MCFD standards, and CARF accreditation standards.
  • Experience managing residential group homes.
  • Negative T.B test.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check; Provincial and MCFD
  • Clear Health Certificate.
  • Approved First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Drivers Abstract.
  • Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Mileage is T2200
  • Excellent verbal and written (grammar, spelling, format) communication skills.
  • Ability to ensure confidentiality of information is maintained.
  • Ability to work on a team and independently.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Highly organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
