POSITION TITLE: PT - Heath Care Trainer REPORTS TO: ASL (Area Security Lead) START DATE:
Reporting directly to the ASL, the Health Care Trainer is responsible for teaching PVPC (provincial violence prevention curriculum), HUFT (hospital use of force), and ATR (advanced team response) course at Paladin Security Group's Interior branches on a Part-Time basis. The successful candidate must be a current employee in good standing or have relevant security knowledge and industry experience. Successful candidates will possess current or prior experience in training and/or supervising. Paladin Security will cover the costs of training for the required certifications, if not already acquired.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Accountable for execution of the training process, including the delivery and evaluation for both new and existing Paladin employees. • Oversee all examinations and certifications for health care classes. • Responsible for classroom and course material preparation. • Must ensure all equipment is cleaned, prepared, and free of defects. • Consult with industry for assessment and training upgrades when appropriate. • Monitor students' performance and identify areas for improvement, to ensure course standards, training requirements, and all course objectives are met. • Provide a variety of instructional techniques and flexible assessment strategies which will meet the learning needs of a range of students. • Provide accurate written evaluations of student performance in the classroom environment. • Maintain confidentiality of student records. • Ensure Management is kept informed on the progress of operations. • Follow the corporate Code of Ethics, company policies and procedures, and OH&S procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 1 year security experience or a combination of experience and relevant education/training. • 1 year of supervisory or training experience. • Must currently hold Health Care training certificates for PVPC/HUFT/ATR, or be willing to complete this certification. • Ability to effectively lead, delegate and supervise. • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both in writing and verbally, including addressing and presenting to groups. • Must be available weekends. • Willingness to commit to 1 year in the part-time role. • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships. • Must receive a recommendation by current CSM in order to be considered.
