Position Overview:Reporting directly to the SVP Investor Relations & Treasury, this position will help define, shape and communicate Finning's global sustainable solutions long-term strategy. Responsible for working with the global executive owners to formulate a vision, strategy, governance, and reporting structure that creates corporate and business value. This role will support the team's efforts in ensuring the business is mobilizing, executing and delivering against key strategic priorities, including the execution of the sustainable solutions strategy.

Job Description:
Global Program Management and Collaboration (25%)
  • Overseeing the management of an integrated strategic plan with milestones and deliverables for sustainable solutions strategy
  • Support the SVP on governance and reporting, including coordination of a global community of contacts and partners to ensure alignment, track progress, and provide visibility and proactive management of potential risks related to the strategy and special projects.
  • Overseeing efforts to gather planning best practices from around the world to embed into the strategic planning process and help leaders engage their teams in our business strategy
  • Facilitating workshops and problem-solving sessions where required to develop and build awareness of Finning's strategy
  • Providing periodic reporting on initiative status, activities and tasks, risk, interdependencies and issues for presentation to senior executives and other major stakeholders

Analysis and Content Creation (10%)
  • Designing analysis reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools and reports to enable business leaders to use the inputs from members for business planning and employee engagement purposes

Strategic Planning and Facilitation (65%)
  • Support executive leadership in building and execute a long-term strategy for sustainable solutions across Finning's businesses that supports short term and long-term objectives
  • Participate in annual business planning and prioritization of key initiatives
  • Provide guidance to multiple organizational levels, mentor, and coach other strategy team members
  • Manage and evolve the annual strategic planning program assessment process to gather feedback on areas for continuous improvement from business leaders and delivery partners
  • Create templates and tools to help teams measure progress against plans and articulate strategic goals
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • MBA would be considered an asset
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing strategy
  • Experience in guiding and influencing people using little or no authority
  • Experience working with leadership at all levels
