About Bella Bella, BCThe village of Bella Bella can be found on the east coast of Campbell Island, on the Central Coast region of British Columbia, approximately 180 kilometers north of Port Hardy and 145 kilometres west of Bella Coola. Ideal for any outdoor enthusiast, the area boasts the natural splendour of the Great Bear Rainforest, as well as a range of outdoor activities including fishing, kayaking, camping and whale watching.
The largest community on the Central Coast north of Queen Charlotte Strait, Bella Bella has a population of around 1,450 and is also home to the Heiltsuk First Nation. About the OpportunityThe Hailika’as Heiltsuk Health Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Generalist Clinical Counsellor to join our team in Bella Bella, British Columbia, on a full-time basis.
You will be responsible for delivering direct clinical services, including intake, assessment, treatment, liaising, and facilitating necessary referrals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
In order to qualify for this role, you will have a Master's Degree from an accredited university in a relevant field, and a valid registration with one of the following regulatory bodies: (CCPA, BCACC, RSW, RCSW, CATA). You will also bring 2 years of experience with direct experience working in counselling including within First Nations communities. Preference will be given to candidates of Indigenous ancestry.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to provide evidence of a clear criminal record check.
