Reporting to the Regional Managing Partner and VP of Operations, the General Manager works in partnership with the Head Chef to ensure the establishment operates efficiently and that each and every customer has a positive and pleasant dining experience.
  • Coordinate daily Front of the House operations
  • Maintain revenue, profitability and quality goals
  • Ensure efficient restaurant operation
  • Maintaining high level people, product, service and environment
  • Hold all employees accountable for service standards, performance and appearance
  • Develop and maintain relationships to ensure guests remain loyal and return
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels
  • Control operational costs and identify areas of opportunity to improve profitability
  • Implement policies, systems and routines that will maintain restaurant operations
  • Ensure financial and payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure each shift is staffed appropriately to meet budget and understand the scheduling process based on budget and sales forecast
  • Auditing staff performance and providing feedback
  • On-boarding, training and development of the service and leadership teams
  • Maintain favourable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment which will be conducive to maximize employee morale and productivity
  • Creating detailed reports on weekly revenue and expenses
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
  • Recommend ways to reach a wider audience

  • Exceptional understanding of The Joseph Richard Group mission statement, philosophy and service standards
  • Completed Food & Beverage testing
  • Experience overseeing a dining operation, building relationships with guests and balancing seating capacity
  • Strong leadership, communication, motivational and people skills
  • Strong financial management skills

  • An ability to lead and take initiative
  • Proven work experience as a manager in the hospitality industry
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager

  • Competitive within the industry and based on experience
  • Salaried employees are eligible for medical and dental benefits after a 3-month probationary period
