Job Description

West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Williams Lake Plywood is currently recruiting for a General Labourer.

You'll Do:
  • Work in a variety of areas which may include sorting, stacking, and piling lathe.
  • Handling and lifting materials.
  • Operate production equipment as assigned.
  • Assist other processing workers.
  • Assist with the routine maintenance and cleaning of the plywood equipment, ensuring their proper functioning and promptly reporting any malfunctions or issues to the team.
  • Other general Labourer responsibilities
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Strict adherence to company safety standards and Safe work practices, such as Lockouts and pre-task hazard assessments.
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Work in a safe manner using proper PPE

You have:
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Availability to perform all shifts as needed – day / afternoon / graveyard / weekend
  • Good physical condition
  • Ability to work on repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work as a positive team member
  • Strong commitment to following all safety guidelines and protocols, wearing the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), and taking precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Reliable and Excellent work ethic
  • Desire to learn, grow and succeed
  • No experience required

Compensation Package:
  • The hourly pay rate for this position varies between $32.06 to $40.96 per hour for labour skills.
  • Outstanding benefits package including medical, dental, pension, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, vacation, and holidays.
