Volunteers work under the direction of the Horticulture Therapist to help senior residents participate increative, indoor and outdoor gardening projects.Deliverables/Duties:
- going to local businesses to pick up flowers
- sorting and pruning flowers
- assisting seniors to create floral arrangements
- assisting seniors who have disabling conditions and compromised communication skillsto participate in gardening projects.
Interestedin working with seniors and gardening.
Ability to follow directions.
Understands and speaks English.
Passionate about helping others.
