The Wealth Investment Office (WIO) is committed to providing institutional-grade investment strategy, portfolio management and goals-based models and portfolios for private clients. We set the standard for investment strategy and portfolio management ensuring portfolios are process driven, goal-based, positively risk adjusted, scalable, efficient and compliant across TD Bank Group's Wealth Management division - including Financial Planning, Private Investment Advice, Private Investment Counsel and Family Office. WIO is a place for professionals who love to manage money and get excited about the opportunity to consult with others on how to build and manage investment portfolios. This is not a place for people stuck in neutral. WIO is a dynamic, multifaceted, multi-channel group working on numerous priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
WIO provides holistic portfolio management, counsel and guidance across a broad range of investment methodologies including traditional, endowment and risk-aware allocations. WIO is the portfolio manager of Core Asset Allocation, Core Equity, CoreQ Quantamental Equity, and Risk Priority Portfolios.
WIO plays a role in the education and ongoing support of TD Wealth advisors through numerous internal and client-facing publications, as well as presentations, seminars and one-on-one communications to advisors.

Job Description
The Fundamental Equity Analyst will support the Senior Equity Portfolio Managers with sector-specific and generalist coverage of public equities, with a focus on North American large cap equities, as well as support the WIO team more broadly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing in-depth company and industry research to evaluate equities and generate actionable investment ideas for the WIO Core fundamental and CoreQ quantamental equity portfolios
- Staying highly informed of news flow in sectors under coverage, alerting portfolio managers in real-time of events relevant to equity portfolio holdings and watch list ideas
- Balancing multiple competing priorities in addition to equity coverage, including participating in team meetings, presenting market views in advisor update calls, conducting one-on-one meetings with advisor/advisor teams in person and online, and contributing to regular client-friendly publications on a monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis as well as contributing to and/or preparing WIO's daily morning market client note 'Before the Open'
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Be passionate about and have a keen understanding of North American equities, the drivers affecting equity returns, and constructing well-diversified equity portfolios in order enhance risk-adjusted returns
- Have direct experience working with investment advisors and portfolio managers and understand the business dynamics, structure and goals of our professional advice channels
- Be highly proficient at comprehensive fundamental and quantitative analysis at the macroeconomic, industry, and company-specific level
- Act as a trusted subject matter expert of assigned industry/sector coverage
- Generate actionable investment ideas with attractive reward-risk propositions and present and defend them to equity team colleagues in a clear and concise manner
- Be highly skilled at presenting data and conclusions in written and chart form (strong Excel data visualization skills)
- Build and maintain detailed financial models including deriving valuation
- Have excellent time management and organizational skills with an ability to work under pressure, within tight timelines, and efficiently prioritize multiple work streams with strict attention to detail
- Be a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently while also collaborating with the team and contributing to team goals
- Work in a collaborative environment and have a positive mindset that emanates a natural passion and enthusiasm for the role and as a member of the WIO team
- Have exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to articulate all aspects of equities management and return drivers to an audience with different levels of sophistication including regular communication with TD wealth investment advisors
Required:
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation
- Strong knowledge of North American equity markets and GICS sectors with a minimum of five years' of direct experience in public equity research, preferably in buy-side or sell-side fundamental equity analysis covering large cap North American equities
- Strong creative and critical thinking skills within a robust analytical process
- Ability to verbally communicate research views clearly in both written articles and presentations
- Strong interpersonal skills required to interact with TD Wealth advisor teams
- Expert knowledge and competence using Bloomberg and FactSet, as well as MS Excel modeling and chart visualization and creating PowerPoint presentations
- Master's level degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred
