Full-time Overnight Maintenance Team Member
Shift: 10pm to 6am or 11pm to 7am, 5 days a week
Starting Wage: $19.50 per hour
Carpenter Enterprises (B.C.) Inc is an independently owned and operated franchise of McDonald's located in British Columbia. We are currently seeking a reliable Overnight Maintenance Team Member to join our team.
This is a permanent overnight position responsible for cleaning, maintenance, and ensuring the restaurant is fully prepared for daily operations.
Position Summary
The Overnight Maintenance Team Member works independently during overnight hours to complete assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks within the scheduled 7-hour shift. This role requires strong time management, organization, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and secure environment for guests and employees
Perform detailed cleaning of kitchen equipment, food preparation areas, dining areas, storage areas, and exterior areas as required
Follow established maintenance schedules and complete assigned tasks within the shift
Conduct routine equipment checks and address or report minor maintenance issues
Perform general upkeep and minor repairs as assigned
Comply with all company policies, food safety standards, and Occupational Health and Safety requirements
Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with training and safety guidelines

Qualifications

Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to follow structured procedures and checklists
Mechanical aptitude and comfort performing hands-on tasks
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Previous cleaning or maintenance experience is an asset but not required

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Overnight shift: 11:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Prolonged standing and walking
Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment
Fast-paced work environment

Compensation & Workplace Commitment

Starting wage of $19.50 per hour
