Job Description

6-month contract Full Stack Engineer (front end focused) role with a global fintech organization with an engineering team located in Metrotown.

12-month contract role focused on front end development
Great organization with a very collaborative environment
Hybrid work environment with 3 days a week in office in Vancouver.

What & Why:
Our client is a leading global fintech company seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer on one of their fastest-growing lines of business. You'll own features end to end, from onboarding and verification to payment flows and reporting, working across Go backend services, a TypeScript GraphQL layer, and a React and React Native front end. This is an AI-native team that writes specs and tests first and uses coding agents like Claude Code and Cursor daily, so your focus will be on design judgment, verification, and product decisions. You'll bring 2+ years of production experience, proficiency in Go, TypeScript, Java, or Kotlin, and a habit of validating AI-generated code. This is an exciting time to join this team as they will continue to grow and be a core part of their business moving forward.

Our client is a leading digital financial services company focused on making international money transfers faster, more affordable, and more transparent for customers worldwide. With a presence across more than 170 countries, they have built a reputation for combining rigorous compliance standards with customer-first product design at global scale. The company recently opened a Vancouver office located in Metrotown, offering a collaborative hybrid work environment with three days per week in office.

You:
You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

5+ years of professional experience building and operating production software
Proficiency in at least one of Go, TypeScript, Java, or Kotlin, with the ability to work across backend services and a React-based frontend
Working knowledge of REST and GraphQL APIs, asynchronous programming, and relational or document data stores, plus experience with CI/CD and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
Hands-on experience using AI development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in real production work, with a habit of validating their output

Compensation:
This role pays between $65-85 per hour.
