About The Role and Our Client  

A highly regarded firm in the Downtown Vancouver core is currently seeking a Floater for their fantastic team! This is an excellent opportunity for those who are looking to work within a variety of Litigation groups. The successful candidate will assist various departments in a variety of Floater (LAA) duties and will have previous experience as an LAA, preferably in General Litigation.


  • - Providing clear, concise and complete oral and written information
  • - Drafting correspondence and legal documents;
  • - Maintaining all administrative functions, including file opening/closing procedures, maintaining the calendar, booking appointments and managing bring forwards
  • - Performing complex editing and formatting of documents for various correspondence, reports, forms and spreadsheets
  • - Assist lawyers in performing all regular administrative tasks
  • - Perform complex editing and formatting for various correspondence, reports, forms and spreadsheets
  • - Managing a high volume of paper correspondence
  • - Use transcription software/equipment to transcribe digital media
  • - Performing other related duties as required.


Education and Qualifications

  • - Previous experience as an LAA with a minimum of 3-4 years in General Litigation
  • - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook etc.,)
  • - Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of an organization, internally and externally
  • - The ability to multi-task and manage tasks under a time-sensitive environment
  • - The ability to practice sound discretion and judgment at all times
