Responsibilities

  • Interpreting and applying key financial indicators to make better business decisions
  • Applying financial policies, guidelines, protocols and controls to ensure the company complies with all regulations and good financial practice
  • Developing and delivering a financial management plan
  • Using data from a wide range of sources to analyze key themes and identifying possible impacts on the business and routes to financial improvement
  • Monitoring key performance indicators
  • Contributing to the formation of divisional finance policy and strategy.
  • Providing specialist expertise and insight to ensure that the emerging functional finance strategy meets business needs


Qualifications

  • Educated to University Degree or Post-graduate (Masters) Degree (in accounting/finance is desirable)
  • 10 – 15 years of experience in accounting, treasury and corporate finance principles
  • 6 – 10 years of experience planning, managing and organizing resources to meet short timescales
  • Strong sense of integrity and personal ethics, with excellent personal judgement
  • Extensive knowledge of inventory control and valuation, local Canadian Accounting and Fiscal Framework, IFRS and IAS
  • Effective presentation skills and strong communication skills, with proven experience communicating with management, vendors, co-workers and others in a professional manner
