Contract position, starts in September or as soon as possible, with an opportunity to go to a one year term position. Richmond location.
This position is responsible for providing financial support to various levels within the organization. Examples of key work activities include:
Preparing and reconciling financial reports, budget analysis, capital progress reports, fixed asset reports, year-end audit.
Preparing project and asset information to Project Managers.
Responsible for the analysis and interpretation of data, and the
Resolution of accounting issues and problems.
Designation from a recognized accounting program
Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
Experience with budget preparation
Able to effectively communicate budget policies and procedures to all levels of staff.
Ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to ensure the integrity of the work in progress.
Can interpret financial information and communicate effectively.
Ability to analyze and prepare monthly and quarterly analysis.
Ability to provide analysis and recommendations to various departments and levels of management to assist in decision making.
Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills.
Advanced level of MS Excel and PeopleSoft Financials
Ability successfully pass a criminal record check for the business sector
Experience in the public sector is an asset
