Site C will be the third dam and hydroelectric generating station on the Peace River and is located approximately 7 km from Fort St. John B.C.

JOB DESCRIPTION Duties:

The successful candidate will:

* Provide support to senior managers for construction and other related areas.

* Provide strategic business advice and financial decision support to the development and review of actual results against plans and assist in the creation and update of accurate and realistic monthly and to-completion forecasts.

* Support the development of the plans, business targets and budget, develop performance monitoring tools, lead the collection and analysis of information, measure performance to objectives and make recommendations and initiate actions in order to maximize results.

* Provide support for the Business Services Manager as required.

* Support the project in the adherence to Financial Policy and associated internal and project control frameworks.

* Support the on-going development of a team-oriented culture within Finance and across BC Hydro.

* Ability to think and act with a strong business sense.

Qualifications:

* Professional Accounting designation (CPA - CA, CGA, CMA).

* 9-12 years' experience in a progressively more responsible financial management capacity with specific experience in project forecasting, analysis, and internal controls.

* Strong knowledge and understanding of project management operations and business decision processes of a large, complex organization.

* Sound experience with the application of computer systems applications to financial operations, reporting and control, capital plans, and operating budgets.

* In-depth knowledge of accounting practices and principles and effective internal control concepts and their effective application.

* Previous experience in cost control of construction projects and performance measurement (earned value).

* Ability to think and act with a strong business sense.

* Knowledge of SAP, AFO, PPM and Passport an asset. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

* This is a Full-Time Temporary opportunity until approximately 2024.

* Some travel will be required between Fort St. John and Vancouver.

* This location is eligible for a Remote Incentive of 12%. Remote Incentives are paid bi-weekly to Full-Time Regular employees working in eligible remote locations.
